All institutional data on Counselor Corporation is sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), and College Scorecard. We update our records regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Our Methodology

Counselor Corporation follows a structured and transparent process to collect, verify, and present data on U.S. colleges and universities.

Institution Selection

We include only institutions that are accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Community colleges, liberal arts colleges, research universities, and specialized professional schools are all included, provided they hold valid accreditation status.

Data Collection

Our data is collected from the following primary sources:

Data Verification

Each data point is cross-referenced across at least two sources before publication. Where discrepancies exist between sources, we prioritize the most recent government-reported figures. Data that cannot be verified is marked as unavailable rather than estimated.

Update Frequency

Our database is reviewed and updated on an annual basis following the release of new IPEDS data, typically in the fall of each academic year. Ranking data is updated in line with Webometrics publication cycles.

Limitations

While we strive for accuracy, some data points — particularly GPA minimums, SAT ranges, and ACT ranges — may vary by program or academic year. We recommend verifying admission requirements directly with each institution before applying.
